World Awaits Historic Event

Maurya spoke to ANI, emphasizing the global significance of the event. "After 500 years of struggle, finally, the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla is going to be done at his birthplace today...The world was waiting for this day. The amount of happiness is difficult to be expressed in words..." he said with tears in his eyes.

Key Ceremony Details

The 'Pran Pratistha' of Ram Lalla is scheduled for Paush Shukla Kurma Dwadashi, Vikram Samvat 2080, today, January 22. The ceremony will witness the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Governor Anandiben Patel, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with other dignitaries. Prime Minister Modi is expected to address the gathering.

Inclusive Participation

Representatives from various walks of life, including tribal communities, will be part of the ceremony, showcasing inclusivity. However, Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury have "respectfully" declined the invitation extended by the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Trust.

Historical Context

The ceremony follows the Supreme Court's 2019 judgement on the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit, enabling the construction of the temple. The demolition of the 16th-century mosque in 1992 by "kar sevaks" set the stage for the current development.

PM Modi's Tribute

Deputy CM Maurya noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's presence in Ayodhya, following an 11-day special ritual, is a tribute to the 'kar sevaks' who sacrificed their lives during the struggle for the Ram Janmabhoomi.

Sacred Ritual Initiated

On January 12, PM Modi commenced an 11-day sacred ceremony at Kala Ram Mandir in Nashik, leading up to the consecration of Lord Ram. The ritual started from Nashik Dham, Panchavati, a significant location in Lord Ram's life.

As the nation witnesses this historic moment, emotions run high, marking the end of centuries-long aspirations for the construction and consecration of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple.
