UPSC CSE Final Result Out: Shakti Dubey secured first position, 1009 candidates selected

The UPSC has declared the results in shortlist candidates on the official website upsc.gov.in.

UPSC CSE Final Result Declared: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final results of the much-awaited Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024 today, 22nd April. Candidates who appeared in this exam can now check their results on the official website of UPSC [upsc.gov.in].

This time Shakti Dubey, a resident of Prayagraj, has secured the first position in the CSE exam. At the same time, Harshita Goyal has been in second place.

The PDF released by the commission contains the names and roll numbers of the candidates who passed the exam.

Donre Archit Parag is in third place, Shah Margi Chirag is in fourth place. Akash Garg is in fifth place, Komal Poonia is in sixth place, Aayushi Bansal is in seventh place.

UPSC has released this final result in PDF format, which includes the names and roll numbers of the candidates who have been selected for appointment in various prestigious services. This list is available on the commission's website.

Total of 1009 candidates passed UPSC

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has selected a total of 1,009 candidates for appointment in the Civil Services Examination 2024. These candidates will be appointed to the posts of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and other central services (Group A and B).

The selected candidates include candidates from various categories, including 335 from General Category, 109 from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 318 Other Backward Classes (OBC), 160 Scheduled Castes (SC) and 87 Scheduled Tribes (ST).

45 candidates selected from Divyang category

This time a total of 45 candidates have been selected under the Divyang category (PwBD), out of which 12 come under PwBD-1 (Visually Impaired), 8 PwBD-2 (Hearing Impaired), 16 PwBD-3 (Inability to move) and 9 PwBD-5 (Other Disabilities).

Summary

The UPSC Civil Services Examination is considered to be one of the most difficult and prestigious examinations in the country. Every year lakhs of candidates appear in this examination, but only a few thousands are selected. This examination is conducted for selection in Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS) and other Group A and B services.
