In response to this, now the Chinese government has also announced to impose an additional tariff of 84 percent.

Earlier, on the American 104 percent tariff, China's foreign affairs spokesperson said that the legitimate right to development of the Chinese people should not be deprived by imposing duty on its goods. Lin Jian accused the US of bullying and appealed to Trump's administration to demonstrate an attitude of equality, mutual respect and reciprocity to resolve the dispute through dialogue.
