Representing Iran were Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. The Pakistani side was represented by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir, who served as the hosts.

The atmosphere during the talks remained somewhat tense. Iran issued threats regarding potential attacks on US vessels in the Strait of Hormuz and reiterated its demand for the unfreezing of its assets.

Conversely, US President Donald Trump categorically stated that the Strait of Hormuz is an international waterway and that the movement of ships through it cannot be obstructed. He further affirmed that the United States would take every necessary measure to ensure this vital route remains open.
