USA: 2 killed and 5 injured in mass shooting at Florida State University
USA Shooting: 2 people were killed, and 5 others were injured in a shooting by a student at Florida State University, USA on Thursday. While the accused is 20-year-old Phoenix Ikner, is the son of a deputy of the local sheriff's department and he attacked with his mother's old service weapon. Police have taken him into custody after the incident.
The university was put on lockdown during the incident and students were instructed to stay in the shelter. The university administration has canceled all classes.
Police said that the deceased were not students. This is the 81st mass shooting case of this year in America.
Gunman opens fire at Florida State University,
Police say that those who died were not students of the university. The health department said that the condition of some of the injured is critical. The university had issued a warning, stating that there was firing near the student union and the police was taking action on the spot. After this, ambulances, fire brigade and police vehicles immediately left for the university.

US President Donald Trump said that he has got full information about the firing. According to Reuters, he said, "This is a very sad incident. Sadly, such incidents keep happening."
Lockdown imposed in the university
As soon as the news of a gunman near the student union at the Tallahassee campus of Florida State University was received, the entire campus was immediately closed (lockdown). More than 42,000 students' study in this campus.
Classes cancelled
As a precaution, all classes and programs of the university were cancelled. University officials told those who were not on campus not to go there and stay away from that area. If anyone needs help, they should call 911 or contact the Florida State University Police.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis also expressed grief over the incident and said, "Our prayers are with the FSU family and the state police is investigating this incident."
