USP of Pakistan- beggars abroad
In recent news coming from India's neighbor Pakistan, the country had to face major embarrassment from the world on the strange issue of beggars.
According to reports, Pakistan has been called out by middle east countries for sending beggars in their countries.
The secretary of overseas ministry of Pakistan, Zulfikar Haider disclosed this information in the senate panel held on the issue of skilled and unskilled labor.
The secretary revealed that Pakistan has been responsible for being the origin country of 90% beggars found in foreign country.
Pilgrimage or other motives?
It was reveled that Pakistani people take visa on the basis of tourism for pilgrimage and than start engaging in acts of begging. In middle eastern counties of UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Iraq these Pakistani nationals become beggars and then engage in illegal acts. These illegal acts compel the law enforcement authorities of those country to take actions against Pakistani Nationals.
According to reports, the these Arab countries want Pakistan to stop this, as their jails are getting crowded.
90% of the all beggars at pilgrimage sites are identified as Pakistani nationals.
The official further stated that menial crimes, such as pickpockets are also undertaken by these people at holy sites.
The secretary further added that Japan has become new destination for such people.
Comparison with India
Senator Rana Mehmoodul Hasan mentioned that Pakistan has as many as 50,000 engineers who are unemployed. He further compared India with Pakistan bringing India's successful Mon Mission to the talk. He exclaimed “India chand par pahonch gaya hai, aur hum rozana koi chaand charha dete hain (India has reached the moon, while we stumble every day).
Pakistan has been struggling with domestic problems already and this news had brought nothing but embarrassment for the struggling country.
