Uttarkashi Tunnel rescue success as trapped workers rescued one by one

Edit- In a positive development, 30 of the 41 workers who had been trapped inside the Silkyara tunnel for the past 17 days have been successfully rescued. Rat-hole miners carried out the rescue operation following a day-long effort by three teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). According to sources, the NDRF teams entered the tunnel to execute the evacuation.

A rescue worker provided an update, stating that the rescue operation has concluded, and the remaining 36 trapped workers are expected to be brought out in the next 15-20 minutes. The worker assured that there are no obstacles, and the NDRF teams will undertake the task of pulling out the remaining workers, estimating that it will take approximately half an hour to complete the entire rescue operation.

Ambulances have been lined up to take those workers to the hospital for checkups and treatment as needed.
