Vande Bharat Express: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off three new Vande Bharat Express trains from Bengaluru, Karnataka on August 10. Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra and Punjab will get direct benefit from these three train services. With the launch of these trains, the total number of Vande Bharat services will become 150.

New trains and their major stoppages

Belagavi – Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna (Bengaluru) Vande Bharat Express

Major stoppages: Dharwad, Hubballi, Haveri, Davanagere, Tumkuru and Yeshwantpur

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – Amritsar Vande Bharat Express

Major stoppages: Jammu Tawi, Pathankot Cantt, Jalandhar City and Beas

Ajni (Nagpur) – Pune Vande Bharat Express

Major stoppages: Wardha, Badnera, Akola, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Manmad, Kopargaon, Ahmednagar, Daund Chord Line

With the launch of Belagavi – Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna (Bengaluru) Vande Bharat Express, the number of Vande Bharat trains operating in Karnataka will increase to 11. Belagavi is a fast growing city located in the northern part of Karnataka, while Bengaluru is the capital and tech hub of the state. The introduction of high-speed train service like Vande Bharat between these two cities will ensure faster and better connectivity between the north-south parts of the state.

This will provide new opportunities in the field of investment, education and medicine. The distance from Belgaum to Bengaluru is about 500 km, which can now be covered in a very short time through Vande Bharat. Also, tourist places like Dharwad, Gokarna, Badami and Hampi located in Belgaum and its surrounding areas will also become more accessible, which will directly benefit the tourism related business.

At the same time, with the start of Ajni-Pune service in Maharashtra, the number of Vande Bharat trains in the state will increase to 6. Earlier, 5 trains were operating here. On the other hand, with the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – Amritsar Vande Bharat service in Jammu and Kashmir, the total number of Vande Bharat trains will increase to 4. Now a total of 3 Vande Bharat services will be available in Punjab.

The average occupancy of these trains is more than 102%, which shows the popularity and reliability of this train.
