Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2024: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel recently engaged in a fruitful discussion with Mr. Kazuya Nakajo, Executive Vice President of JETRO, alongside a notable delegation from the Japan External Trade Organisation. Expressing significant interest, Japanese companies are eager to initiate operations in India's semiconductor sector, with a particular focus on Gujarat.

A substantial Japanese delegation, comprising nearly 200 companies, has chosen to be part of the vibrant business environment at VGGS-2024, demonstrating their commitment to exploring opportunities and collaborations in the region.

Mr. Kazuya Nakajo San, the Executive Vice President of JETRO, is in Gujarat to attend the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024. During his visit, he and the accompanying delegation had a productive meeting with Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar.

Japanese companies are keen to begin operations in the semiconductor sector, particularly in collaboration with Gujarat, India. It was highlighted that a Japanese delegation comprising approximately 200 companies has arrived in Gujarat to participate in VGGS-2024.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel conveyed his confidence in strengthening Japan-Gujarat relations and assured the full cooperation of the state government to Japanese companies. The Chief Minister also reminisced about his meeting with Jetro during his recent visit to Japan concerning the Vibrant Summit.

JETRO representatives have shown their willingness to export not only to India's domestic market but also to global markets through the 'Make in India' initiative. They conveyed interest in exploring opportunities in emerging fields, including deep tech.

Present at the meeting were Chief Secretary Shri Raj Kumar, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Kailashnathan, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Joshi, Advisor to Chief Minister Shri S. S. Rathore, and Additional Chief Secretary Industries Shri S. J. Haider, along with other senior secretaries.
