Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2024: PM Modi positions India as a trusted friend and stability pillar worldwide
Highlighting India's rising influence as a prominent advocate for the Global South, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared on Wednesday that the world recognizes the nation as a crucial pillar of stability. Speaking at the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in Gandhinagar, he emphasized India's commitment to people-centric development, positioning the country as a trusted friend on the global stage.

"The world looks at India as an important pillar of stability. A friend who can be trusted, a partner who believes in people-centric development, a voice that believes in global good, a voice of the Global South, an engine of growth in the global economy, a technology hub for finding solutions, a powerhouse of talented youth, and a democracy that delivers..." Prime Minister Modi expressed.
He also expressed delight at the participation of UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed in the summit, considering it a symbol of the strengthening ties between India and the UAE.
"His presence as the chief guest at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit is a symbol of the ever-strengthening relations between India and UAE," the Prime Minister noted.
Modi highlighted the significance of the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, marking the commencement of India's "Amrit Kaal" – a period focused on the nation's goals for the next 25 years after completing 75 years of independence. He stressed the objective of transforming India into a developed country by its 100th year of independence.
"This is the first Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in this Amrit Kaal. Therefore, this is even more significant. Representatives from more than 100 countries who are participating in this summit are crucial partners in this development journey of India..." he added.
The 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, themed 'Gateway to the Future,' is scheduled from January 10-12 in Gandhinagar. With a total of 34 partner countries and 16 partner organizations, this year's summit celebrates "20 Years of Vibrant Gujarat as the Summit of Success," a vision initiated by Prime Minister Modi in 2003 during his tenure as the state chief minister.
