According to this story shared on Reddit's r/IndianWorkplace handle, a female employee working in a private bank had her mother's health suddenly deteriorate. Due to a reaction to medication, her condition was serious and required constant care. When the female employee asked her boss for a few days of leave, hoping for help, the response she received was nothing short of shocking.

'Send your mother to an old age home and come to the office'

It is alleged that instead of showing sympathy, the boss pressured the employee to work. The manager allegedly said that if her mother's condition was not improving, she should leave her in a shelter home or old age home and come to the office. Hearing this, the woman was devastated. Because, the institution to which she had dedicated years of hard work and dedication, treated her not as a human being, but merely as a resource during her time of need.

Woman forced to resign
