We won: Manoj Jarange as Maharashtra agrees to key Maratha quota demand
We won: Manoj Jarange, who is agitating for Maratha reservation, has been given time till tomorrow i.e. Wednesday morning to vacate Azad Maidan. He and his supporters will have to vacate Azad Maidan by tomorrow morning. Earlier, the High Court had ordered to vacate Azad Maidan by 3 pm on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Maharastra government has accepted five of his seven demands. Two demands are incomplete.

Maharashtra agrees to key Maratha quota demand
Tuesday was the fifth day of Jarange's hunger strike.When the police arrived to vacate Azad Maidan, an argument broke out between Jarange's supporters and the police. Apart from this, the cases registered against the protesters will be withdrawn. The families of those who died in the Maratha movement will get jobs within a week. Apart from this, some other demands of Jarange were also accepted.
Jarange was on a hunger strike in Mumbai for the last four days
After the High Court's order, a delegation of the Maharashtra government also reached Azad Maidan to meet Jarange. Four ministers of the Maharashtra government, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Shivendra Raje Bhosale, Jai Kumar Gore and Manikrao Kokate reached Azad Maidan to meet Jarange. The four ministers gave all the information to Jarange Patil about the discussions held with the committee regarding reservation. After this, Jarange announced that he had won.
Manoj Jarange's 5 demands accepted
1.Hyderabad Institute's Gazette will be implemented immediately, GR will be issued today
2.Satara Institute's Gazette will be implemented within a month
3.All the cases registered against Maratha agitators till date will be withdrawn, the government will cancel the case by going to the court
4.The families of those who have died for Maratha reservation will be given financial benefits and one member of the family will get a government job
5.Records of 58 lakh Maratha Kunbis have been found. This record will be kept in the Gram Panchayat
2 demands unfulfilled
The government will conduct an exercise to prove that Kunbi and Maratha are one. It will decide on it within two months
8 lakh objections were received for implementing 'Sage Soyre'. A decision will be taken after studying it.
