Due to the lack of speed of winds, the sheet of dust has covered the sky a lot. There is a lot of difficulty in seeing far away. The Meteorological Department says that this trend can continue for the next 24 hours. This sheet of yellow dust can also cause problems in flights.

North India in grip of dust

The weather can also turn again. According to the Meteorological Department, the havoc of heat wave can also be seen in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan from 15 to 18 May 2025.

Heavy rain is expected from Bengal to Sikkim for the next five days. Heavy rains may also occur at different places in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu

Monsoon update

The Meteorological Department has also released its forecast regarding monsoon. In the next 2-3 days, the monsoon is rapidly moving towards the South Arabian Sea, Maldives and some parts of the Bay of Bengal. Favorable conditions are seen for the advancement of Southwest Monsoon in Andaman Nicobar Islands, some parts of Andaman Sea and some parts of Bay of Bengal.

Heatwave alert

The Meteorological Department says that there is also a heatwave alert in West UP till May 18. The temperature can reach 37 to 40 degrees Celsius in many districts like Noida-Ghaziabad to Hapur Baghpat. The heat is going to increase a lot for the next two-three days. The scorching heat can wreak havoc due to the increase in day and night temperatures.

There is a possibility of strong winds and rain with thunderstorms in West Bengal, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand. There is also a possibility of strong winds of 30 to 50 kilometers per hour and light rain in some places in Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab-Haryana and West UP. There is a possibility of lightning and rain in Rajasthan on May 14, in Punjab-Haryana and Uttarakhand till May 16, in Rajasthan on May 17-18.
