Kerala Chief Secretary Sharada Muralidharan had to face insulting comments due to her dark complexion. She told on Facebook how she had to face racism since childhood. Hurt by the comparison with her husband, Sharada said, yes I am black and black is seven times more beautiful. She appealed to the society to end racism and adopt a positive attitude.

Kerala Chief Secretary Sharada Muralidharan also had to face insults for her dark complexion. Recently, in a comment on the internet media, someone compared her to her husband and predecessor V. Venu and said that Sharada is as dark as her husband Venu is fair.

Hurted by these comments, Sharada wrote in a Facebook post that how she had to face insults since childhood due to her dark complexion. Later, with the help of her children, she realized that black is beautiful. Later, while talking to a TV channel, she said that society needs to change its perspective. This change should come from home and school.

Sharda said that the comparison with her husband was unexpected. It was her husband who encouraged her to put up her Facebook post. Sharda said that this is something that has raised questions on her identity and ability. She said, Yes I am black. Black color is seven times more beautiful.

Sharada is as dark as her husband Venu is fair

Sharda wrote, in the last seven months, ever since I have taken my husband's place as the Chief Secretary, the process of comparison has been going on continuously. The Chief Secretary also shared a memory from her childhood, when she was four years old and used to ask her mother if she could put her back in the womb and bring her out completely fair.

As she grew up, she started feeling that she was being underestimated because she was not fair, but her children changed her perspective.
