United Nations: The resolution demanding an immediate stop to the war in Ukraine has been approved by the United Nations Security Council. 10 members of the 15-member council voted in favor of the resolution, while five countries, including France, abstained from voting.

It got 10 votes in favor and none against, but five people, including France and Britain, abstained from voting, who could have vetoed the resolution, which only appealed for an "early end to the conflict" without blaming Russia.

The resolution calls for an immediate stop to the war in Ukraine and permanent peace between the two countries. The United Nations General Assembly has already urged an immediate halt to the ongoing war in Ukraine and demanded an immediate withdrawal of its military forces from Russia.
