The 2023 winter session of Parliament is scheduled to start on December 4 and run through December 22. On December 2, an all-party meeting has been scheduled.
Pralhad Joshi, the minister of Parliamentary Affairs, had earlier announced that there would be fifteen sittings over the course of nineteen days.
The 2023 Winter Session of Parliament will run from December 4 through December 22, with 15 sittings over 19 days. He stated that he was looking forward to the session's talks on legislative business as well as other topics amid Amrit Kaal.
Notably, the results of five state assembly elections—in Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan—will be announced on December 3. The outcomes of the assembly elections will significantly impact the session in which the government is eager to pass important bills.
During the meeting, the Lok Sabha will hear the Ethics Committee's report on the "cash-for-query" allegations made against TMC MP Mahua Moitra. During the session, the bills to replace the Evidence Act, the CrPC, and the IPC may be discussed.
