Devotee's Astonishing Gesture

In a stunning gesture of devotion, a templegoer with a humble bank balance of only Rs 17 has left an intriguing offering at Andhra Pradesh's Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple, famously known as the Simhachalam temple. The offering, an undated cheque, holds an astonishing value of Rs 100 crore.

Discovery During Hundi Collection

During the routine counting of the hundi collections on August 23, temple authorities stumbled upon this unexpected discovery. The temple's Executive Officer, Trinadh Rao, was promptly alerted about the extraordinary find.

Swift Verification Process

Taking immediate action, the temple authorities initiated a verification process with the Kotak Bank branch in MVP Colony. The investigation revealed that the cheque was issued from an account held by Boddepalli Radhakrishna, bearing account number 8313295434, and astonishingly, the account balance was a mere Rs 17.

Parallel Accumulation of Hundi Offerings

Concurrently, the hundi offerings collected on that Wednesday amounted to an impressive Rs 1.49 crore. These contributions had been accumulated over a span of 16 days and included approximately 80 grams of gold and 10 kilograms of silver.

This exceptional offering from a devotee with minimal financial means adds a unique chapter to the temple's history, showcasing the depth of faith and reverence it inspires.
