On Saturday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued a strong and scathing statement regarding Pakistan. Describing Pakistan as a "sinful" entity, he asserted that the very nation responsible for orchestrating the partition of India has itself fragmented—and is destined to break into even more pieces in the future. He made these remarks during an event held in Miyanpur, where he distributed land ownership certificates to Hindu families displaced from Bangladesh.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister made another significant announcement: the village of Miyanpur would henceforth be renamed Ravindra Nagar.

This name change is being undertaken to honor Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. He stated that this transformation would give a new direction to the village's identity and serve to reconnect its inhabitants with their cultural roots.

Furthermore, Chief Minister granted land rights to displaced families who had migrated from Bangladesh and, alongside highlighting various development projects, took aim at the Congress party.

Pakistan as a "sinful" nation

In his address, Yogi Adityanath asserted that Pakistan committed the sin of dividing India, only to subsequently undergo division itself. He alleged that there is no place within Pakistan for the Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi, and Christian communities, and that members of these communities have been subjected to persecution there.

He stated that India is the only country that has accorded these people dignity and security.

The Chief Minister informed that today, land rights are being granted to over 1,000 such families—those who were displaced during the partitions of 1947 and 1971 and subsequently settled here.

Chief Minister Yogi remarked that these families lived for years without any rights, but they are now finally receiving their rightful entitlements.

‘Miyanpur to be Renamed; Will Now be Known as Ravindra Nagar’

He asserted that the land and property belonging to these Bengali brethren had been encroached upon by certain "demons," but the government is now restoring their rights to them. Furthermore, he announced that the foundation stones for 213 development projects worth ₹417 crore have also been laid across the Lakhimpur, Dhaurahra, and Mohammadi assembly constituencies.

Launching a scathing attack on the Congress party, Yogi Adityanath stated that previous governments had solicited votes from these people but never granted them land rights. He pointed out that the village was deliberately named Miyanpur to obscure their true identity, despite the fact that not a single "Miyan" (Muslim) resided there.

This village will now be renamed Ravindra Nagar, and its identity will be linked to Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, the composer of India's National Anthem. The Chief Minister described Bengal as an integral part of India's spiritual and cultural heritage.

Attack on Congress: Took Votes, Denied Rights

He informed that the process of granting ownership rights to approximately 1,031 displaced Hindu and Sikh families—covering a total of 542 hectares of land—has already commenced across the Lakhimpur Kheri, Gola Gokarannath, Dhaurahra, and Mohammadi regions.

He stated that approximately 65,000 displaced families are residing in Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Rampur, and Bijnor, and the government is committed to granting them land rights. The Chief Minister further informed that these families have also been provided with housing, toilets, electricity, and water facilities under various government schemes.

Acknowledging the Pain and Struggles of Families Arriving from Bangladesh

The Chief Minister remarked that previous governments were known for crime, riots, and anarchy, whereas the current government is focusing on development and law and order. He added that the region is now gaining an identity defined by "One District, One Medical College," replacing the previous notoriety of "One District, One Mafia."

Summary

Yogi Adityanath stated that financial assistance is being provided to promote the cultivation of the rare Ketki flower, which grows in this region. The fertile land here is utilized for the cultivation of Mentha, sugarcane, paddy, and wheat. Following recent rainfall and hailstorms, directives have been issued to conduct surveys and provide compensation.
