Noida Police Commissionerate has busted mobile and snatching gang, 4 arrested with goods worth 2 Crore

Noida Police Commissionerate has busted a major gang involved in mobile theft and snatching. Police arrested four members of the gang and recovered a large quantity of stolen mobile phones, electronic devices, and their parts from their possession. The estimated value of these goods is approximately Rs 2 crore. 60 iPhones, 28 iPads, 10 mobile phones, and 265 mobile parts worth over Rs 2 crore were recovered from the accused. The gang was involved in more than 500 incidents in Delhi-NCR and surrounding districts. Gang involved in mobile theft and snatching

The accused have been identified as Danish, Firoz, Fardeen, and Salim. DCP Noida Yamuna Prasad said that this gang had committed more than 500 crimes in several districts, including Delhi-NCR. The accused took advantage of crowded areas, religious events, and public gatherings during the thefts.

How the Accused Carried Out the Thefts

According to the police, the accused would disguise themselves and blend into the crowd as supporters or devotees. During this time, they would steal expensive and trending iPhones, smartphones, and other electronic devices. There is a high demand for the stolen mobile phones and their parts in the market. Danish primarily extracted parts from the stolen mobile phones and supplied them on demand. The gang made huge profits from this business. Police recovered 60 iPhones, 10 multimedia mobile phones, 28 iPads, one tablet, 265 mobile parts, one Apple TV device, and a scooter from the accused.

Police Action and Investigation

DCP Noida said that the accused constantly moved around to different cities and districts to identify their targets. Police are currently investigating all the cases and are also searching for other members of the gang for possible other crimes.
