Over 250 Stocks Hit 52-Week Highs as Sensex and Nifty Set New Records, Investors Gain Rs. 6 Lakh Crore
On Friday, September 20, more than 250 stocks, including major companies like ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, Hindustan Unilever (HUL), Bajaj Finserv, and JSW Steel, reached their highest levels in the past year on the BSE. This was part of a broader positive trend in the stock market.
Other Companies Joining the Rally
In addition to these big names, stocks such as Zomato, Bajaj Holdings, Britannia Industries, Marico, Eicher Motors, Havells, Indian Hotels, Max Healthcare Institute, Persistent Systems, PI Industries, Trent, and United Spirits were also among the 265 stocks that hit their one-year highs on the same day.
Massive Gains for Investors
Thanks to this stock market surge, investors saw their wealth increase by more than Rs. 6 lakh crore in just one day. The total market capitalization of the companies listed on the BSE jumped from Rs. 465.7 lakh crore to a new record of Rs.472 lakh crore.
Sensex and Nifty Reach New Heights
The stock market indices also saw remarkable gains. The Sensex hit an all-time high of 84,694.46 before settling at 84,544.31, gaining 1,360 points or 1.63%.

Similarly, the Nifty 50 touched a record high of 25,849.25 during the day, ending at 25,790.95, up by 375 points or 1.48%. This strong performance highlights the optimism in the Indian stock market and the opportunities for investors.
