J&K Election: Politics has heated up after Pakistan's Defense Minister has given a big statement during the ongoing assembly elections in Valley. While Defense Minister of Pakistan Khawaja Asif said this in a  interview to a TV channel, that we are  with Congress-National Conference on the restoration of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

Pakistan hopes that Article 370 will be restored

All though Pakistan is keeping an eye on the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. However Pakistani Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that, National Conference and Congress have a significant presence in J&K. If they will come to power, even though they have made it an election issue too.

Congress is silent on the restoration of Article 370

While the Congress party, is silent on the restoration of Article 370  in Jammu and Kashmir, nether mentioned this in its election manifesto. However Congress is currently demanding only full statehood for Jammu and Kashmir. On the other hand, Congress's ally National Conference Party is raising its voice loudly for the restoration of 370 and 35A.

Omar Abdullah separates from Congress on the issue of 370

The National Conference Party is saying that they will do the restoration of Article 370 and 35A. If there government form in Jammu and Kashmir. But on the statement of Pakistan's Defense Minister NC leader Omar Abdullah gave a strong reply to the Pakistani leader's comment on Article 370.

Meanwhile National Conference (NC) leader Omar Abdullah said, "Pakistan  first take care of its own country. They should not comment on our elections, we are not in Pakistan." Omar Abdullah clearly said that the issue of Jammu and Kashmir is an internal matter of India and Pakistan has no right to interfere in it.

Commitment to restore Article 370 if it comes to power

Although the National Conference has reiterated its commitment to restore Article 370 if it comes to power, the Congress has not made any statement on it so far. Now BJP get a new opportunity to attack the Congress party.

BJP is attacking Congress stand

BJP leader Amit Malviya said, "Pakistan, which is a terrorist country, is supporting the stand of the Congress and the National Conference on Kashmir. The Congress always seems to be in favor of those who work against India."
