People took to streets in Peshawar, Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Rawalpindi to protest against the government to lower the electricity prices.  They burned electricity bills during protests.

Electricity prices in the country has been doubled by the government. Pakistan is facing acute financial crisis with severe food shortage, ridiculously high inflation rates, hiked up fuel prices and now electricity.

It is getting difficult for a common man to survive in the country with such prices. One person committed suicide when he was not able to pay electricity prices. Others have to spend all their saving on just paying bills. Women are forced to sell their jewelry pay electricity and still it is not enough.

Pakistani government is obliged to increase the tax burden on electricity to follow IMF conditions. The interim government headed by caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar pledges to solve the issue.

Pakistani people are comparing their country with India citing how India has reached to Moon and they are still trying to make the ends meet.

Fuel prices in Pakistan Went above 300 Pakistani rupee.  the price of petrol increased Rs 14.91reaching Rs305.36 and price of diesel increased  Rs18.44per liter reaching Rs 311.84. Oil prices have reached this high for the first time in history.

The government has blamed international oil prices for his hike.

Common man is filled with rage because they believe that the elites are still not facing any taxes and financial issues, it is only the general public which is suffering.

Apart from economic turmoil, Pakistan is also facing political turmoil. it also has baggage of debt on it's shoulders. Apart from all these problems, terrorist attacks are also making the situation worse.
