"pathan day" to be celebrated this Friday

Shahrukh Khan’s Pathan currently has a dominant run not only in India but across the world… The film, which released on January 25, has become the highest grossing Hindi film in Indian cinema and is inching towards the Rs 1000 crore mark at theatres around the world. Amid all the celebrations, YRF has now announced that February 17 will be celebrated as #Pathanday.

Earlier this morning the news was shared by one of the famous FilmCritic Tarun Aadarsh, he tweeted: 


Presently, Pathaan has crossed Rs 500 crore mark at the domestic market, makers are organizing a Pathaan Day where tickets across all shows in India will be priced at Rs 110 flat.

Yash Raj Films has tweeted that with Rs 963 crore at the worldwide box office, Pathaan remains the highest grossing Hindi film in the history of cinema. The film raked in Rs 600 crore gross in India and Rs 363 crore gross overseas. Notably, the film had seen a drop in collections on its third Monday, but picked up again on Valentine’s Day, witnessing a 35-40 per cent jump in earnings.
At domestic markets, Pathaan got a boost on Valentine’s Day, recording higher numbers on Tuesday than on Monday. As per film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has crossed the Rs 500 crore mark in all versions in India.
