Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled visit to Ayodhya on Saturday, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya announced that the people of Ayodhya have collectively resolved to keep their city clean. In the run-up to the visit, Maurya, along with local workers, volunteers, and sanitation workers, is actively participating in cleanliness drives, especially along the routes designated for the Prime Minister's roadshow.

Commitment to a Clean Ayodhya

Expressing the collective resolve, Deputy CM Maurya stated, "Jahan Janme Prabhu Shri Ram, Swachh Sundar Rahe Ayodhya Dham" (Lord Ram's birthplace, Ayodhya, should remain clean and beautiful). This commitment to cleanliness is also aligned with the plastic-free campaign run by the Mayor in the city.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit holds significant importance as he is scheduled to inaugurate various developmental projects worth Rs 15,000 crore. These projects include the Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station, the Ayodhya Airport, and several other development initiatives aimed at enhancing infrastructure and connectivity in the region.

Consecration Ceremony and Voting for Lord Ram Lalla

The visit precedes the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple on January 22. Notably, a voting session will be held to decide the idol of Lord Ram Lalla that will be installed inside the sanctum sanctorum of the grand temple. Three designs created by separate sculptors will be considered, and the one with the most votes will be installed during the consecration ceremony.

Seven-Day Consecration Ceremony Schedule

The consecration ceremony, spanning seven days starting from January 16, will include various rituals and puja. The ceremony involves a series of events, culminating in the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol on January 22, which will mark a historic moment in the construction of the grand Ram Temple.

As Ayodhya prepares for the momentous events, the focus remains on cleanliness, development, and the culmination of long-awaited ceremonies, aligning with the vision of a modern and culturally rich Ayodhya.
