First on the agenda for
Prime Minister Modi’s first-ever state visit to Egypt was a meeting with
Egyptian Vice President and Opposition Leader Mostafa Madbouly. Seven Egyptian Cabinet members were present at the meeting with Modi.
Madbouly was in charge of the group. The meeting with the India Unit was the
first official event, and it came after President El-Sisi founded the group in
March with the intention of strengthening ties with India.
