According to police, a FIR was filed against DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's son Priyank Kharge earlier in the day for allegedly inciting religious sentiment.
According to them, Stalin got into trouble for his call to abolish Sanatan Dharma and Kharge for supporting it.
The two were seized on Tuesday at the Civil Lines Police Station in this city for violating IPC sections 295 A (promoting enmity between different religious communities) and 153 A (deliberate and willful acts to offend religious sensibilities).
