Police in Mumbai apprehend a laborer for murdering a coworker and disposing of his body in a septic tank
An officer with the Mumbai police said on Monday that a laborer was arrested for allegedly killing his colleague and dumping his body in a septic tank at a building site in the western suburbs.

According to him, on August 3, police discovered a body in a septic tank at a building site in Oshiwara's SV Road area.
A case was filed under Indian Penal Code section 302 (murder). Following an investigation, police targeted the accused Kera Charka Rai, and detained him on Sunday, according to the official.
Authorities claim that both the accused and the victim, Charka Pujhar, worked on the construction site but were discharged.
Kera claimed that after a disagreement about going to their homeland, he whacked the victim many times with a bamboo stick and murdered him on the spot.
According to the official, the accused then placed the man's body in a septic tank and departed the scene.
