65% voting in Jammu and Kashmir till 5 pm: PDP accuses of slow voting
J&K Election: Meanwhile voting for last phase of J&K assembly elections started at 7 am today. Though 65.48% voting took place till 5 pm on 40 assembly seats of 7 districts in the Valley.
Voting held for forty assembly seats
In the while out of the forty seats of the third phase elections, 24 seats are from Jammu division and 16 from Kashmir valley. All though 415 candidates are in the fray in the last phase. Among them, 387 are male and 28 are female candidates.

The Andhra Pradesh BJP President Daggubati Purandeswari said - The election results in Jammu and Kashmir will be encouraging for the NDA. After the removal of Article 370, the people of Jammu and Kashmir feel that they are a part of India. Meanwhile she also said , that People are voting in large numbers in the last phase of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
Engineer Rashid said - Power is a very small thing for me
The Awami Ittehad Party Chief Engineer Rashid said that I do not want to come with BJP. If power was my priority, I would have shaken hands with PM Modi. My priority is how the leadership will work after getting the public mandate. Do they roam around like VVIPs after winning elections like traditional parties PDP, JKNC, Congress and BJP? The goal of Awami Ittehad Party is to bring permanent peace in Kashmir.
Key voting details of assembly election of last phase
Highest voting was 72.91% in Udhampur. The lowest voting was 55.73% in Baramulla. 39.18 lakh voters are participating in the voting which will continue till 6 pm.
PDP spokesperson Mohit Bhan has alleged that slow voting is being conducted at Hatmulla polling station in Kupwara. He said on X- There is no one on earth who can help voters till the voting time ends.
169 candidates are crorepatis in the third phase and 67 candidates have criminal cases registered against them. BJP candidate from Nagrota, Jammu, Devendra Singh Rana has the highest assets worth 126 crores.

In this phase, Parliament attack mastermind Afzal Guru's elder brother Ejaz Ahmed Guru is also in the fray. Ejaz Guru is an independent candidate from Sopore seat.
Engineer Rashid's brother Khurshid Ahmed Sheikh is contesting from Langate seat of North Kashmir. Former Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig is contesting as an independent from Baramulla.
Voting was held for 24 assembly seats in the first phase on 18 September. During this, 61.38% voting took place. On September 25, 57.31% voting took place in 26 assembly seats of 6 districts.
A good amount of voting is taking place in the Hiranagar assembly constituency adjoining the border. Women here are also participating enthusiastically.
