79th Independence Day 2025 Celebration: PM Modi will give 12th speech by hoisting the tricolor
79th Independence Day: To India is celebrating its Independence Day, while the atmosphere of Red Fort is full of patriotism. Tricolors are waving all around, and a new energy and enthusiasm is felt in the air. PM Modi is going to address the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort. His address will not be just a speech, but a roadmap for the dream of a 'developed India', which is targeted to be fulfilled by 2047.
Celebration of 'Operation Sindoor'
There is another big attraction in this year's Independence Day celebrations, and that is the celebration of the grand success of 'Operation Sindoor'. After the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, the Indian Army entered Pakistan and PoK on May 7 and destroyed the terrorist hideouts. More than 100 terrorists were killed in this operation. This is a symbol of India's 'new policy', which gives the message of decisive and strict action against terrorism. During the ceremony, the logo of 'Operation Sindoor' will be seen on the 'view cutter' installed on the Gyanpath of the Red Fort. Apart from this, two Mi-17 helicopters of the Indian Air Force will shower flowers from the sky, one carrying the tricolor and the other carrying the flag of 'Operation Sindoor'.
Honoring 5000 special guests
This time, not only VIPs but also those people are guests who are actually building 'New India'. About 5,000 'special guests' have been invited. These include players of the Indian team of Special Olympics 2025, winners of international sports competitions, gold medalists of Khelo India Para Games and successful farmers under the National Beekeeping Mission. Apart from this, the most successful Sarpanch of ODF Plus villages, Sarpanch who performed well in the 'Catch the Rain' campaign, young writers of PM Yuva Yojana, skilled youth of PM-Vikas Yojana, and tribal entrepreneurs of PM-Van Dhan Yojana will also be present. Beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana, Lakhpati Didi, Anganwadi workers, sanitation workers, and interns of PM Internship Scheme will also witness these historic moments.
Impenetrable security arrangements in Delhi
There are tight security arrangements around the Red Fort. Meanwhile Joint Commissioner of Delhi Police said that more than 20,000 jawans of Delhi Police and paramilitary forces have been deployed. Video analytics and AI are being used in CCTV cameras. To avoid any inconvenience to the people, Delhi Metro has started operating from 4 am and the traffic police has also issued a special advisory.
Patriotic tunes from band performances across the country
To make this great festival of patriotism memorable, for the first time, bands of Army, Navy, Air Force and paramilitary forces will perform at more than 140 major places across the country. These bands will also fill the atmosphere with enthusiasm with their tunes at places like India Gate, Kartavya Path, Qutub Minar and India Gate in Delhi.
