Agriculture Minister met farmers just before Haryana election…these issues were discussed
Delegation of Farmers: Now the central government is trying to remove the resentment of farmers amidst the Haryana assembly elections. In the meanwhile Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh held his first talks with a delegation of 50 farmers and agriculture union leaders in New Delhi. During the meeting, four issues were discussed between the farmers and the Union Minister.

While the farmers called to Delhi just before Haryana elections, though the meeting was held at the Pusa Complex in New Delhi and farmers and agriculture union leaders from Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi participated in it. Senior officials of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare were also present.
Overall development of the agriculture sector- Agriculture Minister
All though the Union Minister said that work is being done continuously under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the overall development of the agriculture sector. Many schemes related to the agricultural world have been implemented in the last 10 years and this sequence is continuing. So far 7 major schemes have been approved in the first 100 days of the third term of the Modi government. The central government will spend Rs 15,000 crore on these schemes, which will benefit the farmers.
Issues discussed with Shivraj Chauhan
Meanwhile the Agriculture Minister held a meeting with farmers delegation.The agenda of this meeting was to discuss on some important issues. Especially on the prices of crops, issues related to the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, damage caused by stray animals and the government's decision at the time of harvesting,

Shivraj Singh Chauhan said on the meeting
Talking to media after the meeting with farmers, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, "I have said earlier that agriculture is the backbone of the Indian economy and farmers are its soul, and serving farmers is like worshipping God for us."
To promote agricultural exports
Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, the government is constantly focusing on increasing agricultural production and productivity in the country. To promote agricultural exports, the minimum export price (MEP) on onion and basmati rice has been aboli Agriculture Minister shed. Concrete steps have been taken for self-sufficiency in pulses. One grain each of tur, urad and lentil will be purchased.
Directions of Agriculture Minister
Whatever work can be done in the interest of farmers, put its complete planning before me so that necessary decisions can be taken and implemented. We will leave no stone unturned for the welfare of farmers.
