Air of the national capital is becoming poisonous, GRAP-3 implemented from today
Air Pollution: The air of the national capital New Delhi remains in the severe category. On Friday, the average air quality index (AQI) here was recorded at 409. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the average air quality index in the capital Delhi was recorded at 409 till 6:15 am on Friday

GRAP-3 will be implemented in Delhi from today
The Delhi government has decided to implement the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP)-3 from Friday to deal with the deterioration in the air quality of the capital. Under this, diesel-powered vehicles of BS 3 or below standard will be banned. Construction, demolition and mining activities will be banned. The Supreme Court will hear on November 18 the petition seeking implementation of measures to curb pollution in Delhi.
AQI level around 500 in 25 areas
The AQI level was seen between 400 and 500 in 25 areas of the capital Delhi. The AQI was 441 in Anand Vihar, 440 in Ashok Vihar, 417 in Aya Nagar, 455 in Bawana, 412 in Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range, 444 in Dwarka Sector 8, 440 in IGI Airport, 458 in Jahangirpuri, 422 in the stadium on Lodhi Road and 402 in Mandir Marg. AQI reached 455 in Wazirpur
Apart from these, 449 was recorded in Mundka, 404 in Najafgarh, 428 in Narela, 438 in Nehru Nagar, 430 in NSIT Dwarka, 422 in Festival, 439 in Patparganj, 443 in Punjabi Bagh, 405 in Pusa, 437 in RK Puram, 452 in Rohini, 438 in Shadipur, 426 in Siri Fort, 439 in Vivek Vihar, 455 in Wazirpur.
Between 300 and 400 in 14 areas
The AQI level in 14 areas of Delhi remains above 300 and between 400. In which Alipur had 398, Burari Crossing had 383, Chandni Chowk had 347, Mathura Road had 368, DTU had 395, Dilshad Garden had 369, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium had 374, Lodhi Road had 314, North Campus DU had 338, DPCC Pusa had 381 and Sri Aurobindo Marg had 301 AQI.
It was recorded 430 a day before

Know how much AQI is dangerous
It is worth mentioning that according to the classification of AQI by the Central Pollution Control Board, 0 to 50 is considered good, 51 to 100 is satisfactory, 101 to 200 is moderate. Apart from this, 401 to 500 is considered severe and AQI more than 450 is considered severe plus.

At the same time, 283 AQI was recorded in Faridabad, 314 in Gurugram, 332 in Ghaziabad, 258 in Greater Noida and 328 in Noida in Delhi NCR.
