Badlapur Accused Dead: Accused of exploiting minor girls in a school in Badlapur, Maharashtra last month has been killed in a police encounter. According to information Akshay Shinde had snatched the police revolver and fired at the police team. The accused had fired several rounds at the team; in the meanwhile police officers were also injured.

Culprit  died in an encounter

The sexual abuse incident took place on 12th  August. Akshay Shinde, a 23-year-old sweeper at Adarsh ​​​​School in Badlapu. As by the media inputs, the accused snatched the police revolver on Monday and fired 3 rounds. In retaliation, the accused Shinde was shot. Though he was rused to the hospital in critical condition, the doctor declare him dead.The incident took place at 5:30 in the evening. Initially, it was reported that the accused committed suicide after snatching the police revolver.

Firing happened in retaliation against the accused

According to the one of the police officer the culprit fired at police, while the police firing was done in retaliation against the accused, in which Akshay was shot. After being injured, he was admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment, where he died.

2 policemen were also shot, while 1 in ICU

Meanwhile injured Inspector was admitted to the hospital, where he has been kept in the ICU. His condition remains critical. After the incident, the police have sent the body of the accused Akshay Shinde for postmortem. In this case, the police said that after the arrest of Akshay Shinde, he was being taken to the court to be presented, when he committed this incident. The police have started investigating the incident and the matter is being investigated thoroughly.

Leader of opposition demands investigation

Opposition leader Vijay Vedattaiyar posted on X, 'Expressing deep concern over the Akshay Shinde incident, he has demanded a judicial inquiry. He said, the accused firing is being described as an attempt to destroy evidence. The leader raised questions, "How did Akshay Shinde shoot himself? When he was in police custody, were his hands not tied? How did he get the gun? How can the police be so careless?" He said, "We have doubted the role of the police in the Badlapur case from the very beginning." He demanded from the government that a judicial inquiry should now be conducted.

CM Shinde - Police took action in self-defense

Though Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde said, "In the Badlapur case, the accused's ex-wife had filed a case of sexual assault, in which he was being taken for investigation. During this, he fired at a policeman Nilesh More who got injured and has been admitted to the hospital. The police took this action in self-defense.

This incident taken place in Badlapur in Maharashtra, in a school with two minor girls. After getting the information police had arrested Akshay Shinde on charges of sexually assaulting. After the incident came to light, parents of school children and local people, including a large number of women, participated. During the protest, the protesters vandalized the school and also pelted stones at the local railway station during 'Rail Roko'. On August 16, after the case of sexual abuse of two girls in the school bathroom came to light, a case was registered against him. After this, the police arrested the accused under the POCSO Act. While SIT is investigating this matter.
