BJP candidate Surankote Mushtaq dies, he was a former minister and two-time MLA
Jammu BJP: J&k BJP leader and a candidate from Surankote in assembly election Mushtaq Bukhari died on Wednesday morning after a prolonged illness. He was 75 years old. Meanwhile BJP leader Bukhari was suffered a heart attack at around 7 am, leading to his death.

Former Jammu and Kashmir minister and Pahari leader Syed Mushtaq Bukhari died due to cardiac arrest. Let us tell you that Bukhari was the BJP candidate from Surankote and was contesting the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. Bukhari joined the BJP in February itself. Earlier he was in the National Conference.

Bukhari an MLA from Surankote for two times
While Syed Mushtaq Bukhari has been an MLA from Poonch district twice. Bukhari was once considered very close to National Conference President Farooq Abdullah. In February 2022, he broke his four-decade-old relationship with the party due to differences with Farooq Abdullah.
Ex Minister Kavinder Gupta condoled the death of Bukhari
However ex Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta condoled the death of the politician on a social media. He wrote, "I express my condolences on the sudden demise of BJP leader Mushtaq Bukhari ji." People's Democratic Party (PDP) and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti also expressed condolences on the unfortunate death of Mushtaq Bukhari on X.
