Though BJP has announced a total of 146 candidates so far. It had announced the names of 99 candidates in the first list and 22 candidates in the second list. While   voting for Maharashtra assembly elections will be held on November 20 and results will be declared on November 23.

In the meanwhile, Mahayuti alliance has so far announced candidates for 260 out of 288 seats. Candidates are yet to be fielded on 28 seats. Let us tell you that Mahayuti includes BJP, Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar's NCP.

BJP released its third list of candidates

Today BJP has been released their third list of names of the candidates for Maharashtra assembly election.  Apart from this, BJP has made Santuk Marotrao Hambarde its candidate for the by-election to be held on Nanded Lok Sabha seat.

By-election is being held on Nanded seat due to the sudden demise of Congress MP Vasantrao Chavan in August. Congress has nominated Ravindra Chavan, son of its late leader Vasantrao Chavan, for the by-election.

Although, BJP’s announced names of5 146 candidates, Shiv Sena has so far announced its candidates on 65 seats and NCP on 49 seats. Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde on Monday filed his nomination papers from Kopri-Pachpakhadi assembly constituency in Thane district.

In an attempt to corner Shinde, Shiv Sena (UBT) has fielded Kedar Dighe, nephew of Thane's strongman late Anand Dighe, from this seat.

Maharashtra assembly election  

While the Maha Vikas Aghadi has so far announced its candidates on 259 seats and candidates are yet to be fielded on 29 seats. The MVA includes Congress, Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena UBT and Sharad Pawar's NCPSP. Shiv Sena UBT has fielded candidates on 84 seats, Congress on 99 and NCPSP on 76 seats.

BJP has fielded Sudhakar Kohle from Nagpur-West assembly seat of Maharashtra and Milind Pandurang Mane from Nagpur-North seat. Sanjay Upadhyay has been given the ticket in place of sitting MLA Sunil Rane from Borivali.

The BJP has given tickets to Harish Marotiappa Pimpale from Murtijapur, Sai Prakash Dahake from Karanja, Rajesh Shriram Wankhede from Teosa and Umesh Yawalkar from Morshi, Sumit Kishore Wankhede from Arvi assembly seat, Charan Singh Thakur from Katol, Ashish Deshmukh from Savner, Praveen Datke from Nagpur Central.

Let us tell you that Sumit Wankhede is the personal assistant of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Meanwhile BJP has re-nominated sitting MLA Bharti Lavekar from Versova and Parag Shah from Ghatkopar East, although earlier there was speculation that the tickets of both could be cut. Archana Shailesh Patil Chakurkar has been given ticket for Latur city constituency, which reflects the BJP's strategy of fielding some new faces along with showing faith in old faces.

Sneha Premnath Dubey from Vasai, Raju Narayan Todsam from Arni (ST) and Vinod Suresh Medha from Dahanu (ST) have been given tickets by the BJP.
