By-election dates changed in Punjab, UP & Kerala: Voting on 14 seats now on November 20 instead of 13
Date of by-elections for 14 assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Kerala has been changed. Voting for these seats will now be held on November 20 instead of November 13. According to the Election Commission, due to various festivals, by-elections in assembly constituencies in Kerala, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh have been rescheduled, from November 13 to November 20.
By-election dates for 14 assembly seats changed
Meanwhile election commission, has been changed the date of the assembly by-elections. This date changed announcement made by election commission on Monday that voting will now be held on November 20 instead of November 13 on 14 assembly seats in the three states.
According to news agency inputs, voting will now be held on November 20 on 9 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, 4 in Punjab and 1 in Kerala. The change in dates has been made on the demand of BJP, Congress, RLD and BSP.

Although these political parties said that Kartik Purnima and Guru Nanak Devji's Prakash Parv are on November 15. At the same time, Kalpathi Rastholsevam will be celebrated in Kerala from November 13 to 15. This would have affected the voting.
Dates changed on theses seats
The seats whose by-election dates have been changed include Palakkad seat of Kerala. Apart from this, the date of election has been changed on Dera Baba Nanak, Chabbewal, Gidderbaha and Barnala assembly seats of Punjab. Along with this, the voting date has been changed in Meerapur, Kundarki, Ghaziabad, Khair, Karhal, Sishamau, Phulpur, Katehari and Majhgawan in Uttar Pradesh.

Election Commission announcement
While no change in date for 33 seats of 10 states in today's announcement of the Election Commission, the date has not been changed for 33 seats of 10 states. That means voting will be held here on November 13 only. On the same day, voting will also be held for 43 seats of Jharkhand Assembly. On October 15, the Election Commission had announced the dates for by-elections on 48 assembly and 2 Lok Sabha seats of 14 states along with Maharashtra-Jharkhand.
