Though a clash broke out between Trinamool Congress leader Kalyan Banerjee and BJP MP Abhijit Gangopadhyay in the meeting of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) regarding the Waqf Bill. Kalyan Banerjee has been injured in this clash.

Clash between BJP and TMC leaders in Waqf meeting

During a fierce clash between the two leaders in the JPC meeting, Kalyan Banerjee broke a glass bottle of water, which injured his hand. Due to this, he got four stitches on his hand.

Due to this clash, the meeting was stopped for a while. Eyewitnesses say that Kalyan Banerjee suddenly picked up the bottle and broke it on the table. Due to this, he himself got hurt.

Reason for the clash

All though this incident taken place, when the Waqf Board meeting was going on. The dispute between the leaders of both the sides escalated over political issues, leading to a scuffle.

TMC leader got injury

During the clash, Kalyan Banerjee suffered an injury in his hand. He was given first aid, and his condition is said to be stable.

Police is investigation the matter

In the meanwhile, police have been reached the spot and controlled the situation. After this incident, the leaders of both the parties have accused each other.

Waqf Board meeting

Important issues related to religious, and property was to be discussed in the Waqf Board meeting. In such a situation, such a clash affected the proceedings of the meeting
