Congress releases list of 40-star campaigners, names of many stalwarts including Mallikarjun
Jharkhand Election: Today Congress has released the first list of star campaigners for the Jharkhand assembly elections. According to this list, the party has determined 40 names and called them star campaigners. These leaders will be responsible for the promotion of Congress candidates in Jharkhand.
The star campaigners include the names of prominent leaders like Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal, Ghulam Ahmed Mir, Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, Rajesh Thakur, Dr. Rameshwar Oraon, Pradeep Yadav etc.

62 candidates' nominations cancelled on first phase seats
Meanwhile out of 805 candidates who filed nominations on 43 seats in the first phase of Jharkhand assembly elections, nomination papers of 61 candidates have been cancelled.

Now a total of 743 candidates are left in the fray on all these seats. Nomination papers can be withdrawn by the candidates on these seats till Wednesday. After this it will be known how many candidates will contest on which seat. Voting for these seats is to be held on 13 November.
