The official message issued by AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal said, "The Congress President has approved the proposal to dissolve the entire PCC, District Presidents and Block Congress Committees of Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee with immediate effect."
In the meanwhile, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge said today, Congress is dissolving the whole state Congress Committee (PCC) unit in Himachal along with the district and block units. It is being told that the Congress has taken this action due to the poor performance of the party in the Lok Sabha elections held this year.
Dissolve the entire PCC of Himachal Pradesh
Also, this move is being seen as part of the Congress' plan to reorganize the Himachal unit of the party. There has been no change in the PCC since the Congress government was formed in the hill state.
Outgoing Himachal Pradesh Congress President Pratibha Singh has already become a member of the Congress Working Committee (CWC), the party's highest decision-making body. Singh, wife of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, was appointed the state Congress chief in 2022.
