'Dana' wreak havoc in Odisha-Bengal, 500 trains canceled, flights banned for 16 hours

High alert has been issued in Odisha and Bengal regarding cyclonic storm 'Dana'. 'Dana' can hit Odisha today and it is likely to hit the West Bengal coast tomorrow. During this time, winds can blow at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour. There is tremendous fear among the people due to the arrival of the storm. Due to cyclone 'Dana', it is raining with strong winds in many parts of Odisha and Bengal.

Issued high alert in the states
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, while reviewing the security preparations, has said that 30 percent people (three-four lakh) living in the danger zone have been evacuated from there on Wednesday evening.
Meteorological Department has said that when this storm hits Odisha, its speed will be 120 kilometers per hour. In view of the wrath of this storm, East and Southeast Railways have cancelled trains on a large scale on 24 and 25 October.
Flight operations at Biju Patnaik International Airport will be suspended for 16 hours from Thursday evening. Airport operations will remain suspended from 5 pm on October 24 to 9 am on October 25.
Chief Minister of Odisha Mohan Charan Majhi has urged all MLAs to stay in their constituencies. Doctors' leaves have been cancelled and they have been called back to their respective health centers.
At the same time, flight operations at Kolkata's Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport will also remain closed from 5 pm today till 9 am tomorrow i.e. October 25. Schools and colleges in many districts of Odisha and Bengal have been closed till October 25-26.

552 trains have also been cancelled in view of cyclonic storm 'Dana'. Southeast Railway has cancelled 150 trains, East Coast Railway has cancelled 198 trains, Eastern Railway has cancelled 190 trains, and Southeast Central Railway has cancelled 14 trains.
Cyclone is expected to hit the coast of Odisha between 24 and 25 October. These teams have poles and tree cutting equipment.
