Dates announced for Delhi Assembly elections 2025, voting on February 5 & results on 8
Delhi Assembly Election 2025: Assembly elections in Delhi have been announced today. Elections are to be held in Delhi in one phase. While voting will be held in the capital on February 5, while the results will be declared on February 8. With this, the code of conduct has been implemented in Delhi. The current term of the Legislative Assembly is ending on February 23.
Voting was also held in a single phase in the last election
On February 8, 2020, voting was held in a single phase for all 70 seats of the Assembly. After this, the results were declared on February 11. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) got 62 seats in 2020 with 53.57% votes. At the same time, BJP got 8 seats. During this time, they got 38.51% votes. Congress did not even open its account in these elections. They got only 4.26% votes. Congress did not get a single seat in the 2015 elections as well.

Final voter list released
The Election Commission of India on Monday released the final voter list for the Delhi Assembly elections and said that a total of 1 crore 55 lakh 24 thousand 858 voters are registered. Out of this, 84 lakh 49 thousand 645 are male voters, while 71 lakh 73 thousand 952 are female voters.
Summary
Earlier on January 4, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MPs Sanjay Singh and Raghav Chadha met the District Magistrate of New Delhi at Jamnagar House and lodged a complaint about the removal of names of alleged voters. The New Delhi District Election Officer has termed their allegations as baseless.
