Maharashtra New CM: The suspense continues over the name of the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Caretaker CM Eknath Shinde canceled his meetings today due to ill health. It is going to be about 10 days since the election results came in Maharashtra and leave aside the formation of the government, it has not been decided yet who will take charge of the state.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra's acting Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has canceled all meetings today. At the same time, Nationalist Congress Party leader Ajit Pawar has left for Delhi to meet the high command of the Bharatiya Janata Party regarding the formation of the government.

What is going on in Maharashtra politics?

Caretaker CM Eknath Shinde was to attend the meeting of Mahayuti leaders to finalize the division of departments. He is currently suffering from throat infection and fever. He has not yet returned to his residence Varsha. Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar has left for Delhi to meet the top leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party and may discuss the formation of Maharashtra government and division of departments with them.

Srikant Shinde dismisses speculation of Deputy CM

On the other hand, Eknath Shinde's son and Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde dismissed reports of him demanding the post of Deputy Chief Minister. The MP called it baseless rumour and said that he is not in the race for any ministerial post in Maharashtra.

Eknath Shinde's son Shrikant Shinde posted on the social media platform X and wrote, 'The swearing-in ceremony of the coalition government has been slightly delayed and there is a lot of discussion and rumours about it at the moment.

Ajit Pawar left for Delhi to meet top leadership

Acting Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had gone to the village for two days and rested due to ill health. So, rumors spread. For the last two days, the news that I will become the deputy Chief minister is being given with question marks. In fact, there is no truth in this and all the news of me becoming the deputy Chief minister are baseless.

Shrikant Shinde further said, 'Even after the Lok Sabha elections, I had a chance to become a minister in the central government. But I thought of working for the party and I refused the ministerial post even then. I do not want any position in power. I want to make it clear once again that I am not in the race for any ministerial post in the state.
