Hemant Soren has become the new Chief Minister of Jharkhand. With this, he has become the first CM of Jharkhand to become Chief Minister for the second consecutive time. Hemant Soren took oath as Chief Minister in a program organized at Morhabadi Ground in Ranchi. While Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar administered him the oath of office and secrecy.

Hemant Soren become the 14th CM of Jharkhand

With the oath of Chief Minister ship, Hemant Soren has become the 14th CM of Jharkhand. He himself has become the CM of Jharkhand for the fourth time. After the formation of Jharkhand on 15 November 2000, Babulal Marandi first became the Chief Minister of Jharkhand.

After this, Arjun Munda has been CM three times, Shibu Soren three times, Madhu Koda once, Raghuvar Das once, Champai Soren once and Hemant Soren three times. This is Hemant Soren's fourth term as Chief Minister

Presence of opposition leaders in Ranchi

Prominent leaders of opposition parties also attended this grand ceremony organized at Morhabadi Ground in Ranchi. Governor Santosh Gangwar administered him the oath of office and secrecy.

The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led India Block registered a big victory in the recently concluded assembly elections, five days after which this new government was formed.

Many leaders of the India Alliance were present on this occasion in Ranchi. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal were present at the swearing-in ceremony.

Soren become the CM of Jharkhand for a record fourth time

Soren has become the Chief Minister of the state for a record fourth time. In the recently held assembly elections, Soren retained the Barhet seat by defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's Gamliel Hembram by 39,791 votes. The JMM-led alliance retained its majority by winning 56 seats in the 81-member assembly, while the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) got 24 seats.
