J&K: Encounter in Bandipora,1 terrorist killed, another hiding in forests, search operation continues
J&K: Encounter taken place between security forces and terrorists in Ketsun Forest Area of Bandipora, Kashmir on Tuesday. In which one terrorist was killed. According to officials, the security forces had received information about the terrorists hiding in the Chuntpathri Forest of Bandipora.

After which the area was cordoned off and a search operation was started. While during the search oper, the terrorists opened fire on the security forces, after which the encounter started.
The security forces also retaliated, in which one terrorist was killed. However, there is a possibility of another terrorist hiding in the area. The encounter is still going on.
Fourth encounter in last 5 days
In the beginning of November itself, 3 encounters have taken place between security forces and terrorists in Srinagar, Bandipora and Anantnag. In these, 4 soldiers were injured, and 3 terrorists were killed.
While one of the terrorists killed on 2 November was identified as Zahid Rashid. The other was Arbaaz Ahmed Mir. Both had received training from Pakistan. The fourth encounter is going on in Bandipora.
Terrorist's helper also caught
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday, along with 22RR and 92 battalions of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), also arrested an associate of the terrorists. He has been identified as Aashiq Hussain Wani, who is a resident of Tujar Sharif in Sopore, Jammu and Kashmir. Police have recovered a pistol, seven live rounds and a magazine from his possession.
5 attacks by terrorists in October
16 October: Terrorists shot dead a non-local youth in Shopian. After the attack, a search operation was launched in the area to find the terrorists
20 October: A doctor from Kashmir, an engineer from MP and 5 laborers from Punjab-Bihar lost their lives in Sonamarg of Ganderbal. Lashkar's organization The Resistance Front (TRF) took responsibility for this.

24 October: Terrorists opened fire on a laborer in Batgund in Pulwama district of South Kashmir. The laborer was injured in the attack, who is undergoing treatment.
On 28 October: 3 terrorists killed in Akhnoor, in the while terrorists had fired on an army ambulance near the LoC. After this, they fled towards the forest.
Although grenade blast took place in the Sunday market near the Tourist Reception Centre (TRC) in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir on 3 November. However, 12 people were injured in this. Immediately after the incident, the entire area was cordoned off to catch the attackers.
