Kolkata rape case: The case of rape and murder of a doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College was heard in the Supreme Court today. A bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Mishra sat for the hearing. In the meanwhile the Bengal government also  given its status report to the court. At the same time, the CBI has also filed its status report in this case. Here we will let you know the details of hearing in the court.

Who said what during the debate

CJI said, We want clarification on two things, at what time was the case of unnatural death registered

SG: Please see the chart. After all, she is the daughter of all of us.

Sibal: The death certificate was given at 1:47 pm. The entry of unnatural death was made in the police station at 2:55 pm.

CJI: Is the unnatural death number 861? Sibal: Yes

CJI: When was the crime scene investigated and evidence collected?

Sibal: From 8:30 pm to 10:45 pm. This was after the body was taken for postmortem.

SG: But who did this?

CJI: Look, the CCTV footage clearly shows when the accused went into the seminar room and when he came out. After that, the recording after 4:30 pm is also available and handed over.

While reading the CBI's status report, the CJI asked the SG how far is the principal's house from the college. On this, the SG said it is 15-20 minutes away.

Sibal said there are two things

1 seizure given 8:30-10:45.

2 videos in hard disk given in parts, stored in parts due to technical glitch, but given in full.

SG said we have forensic report, when girl was found at 9:30, she was in semi-nude condition, jeans and undergarments removed, there were injury marks on her body. They have taken samples, sent to CFSL again.

Who took the samples has become relevant. SG says samples were tested in CFSL in Bengal.

The CJI said we have seen the further direction of the investigation, we do not want to comment on it in open court. We want a status report on Tuesday.

The SC said that, the CBI should proceed based on the clues it is finding.

After 1 month in Kolkata rape-murder case

Since that brutal incident of RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata. The eyes of the whole country are on the hearing of the Supreme Court today. On the other hand, Mamata Banerjee will hold a meeting with all the DMs and SPs of the state from Navanna. While Solicitor General Tushar Mehta presented the status report on behalf of Kapil Sibal and CBI. The court has asked for a new status report from CBI on September 16.
