Lucknow's Taj Hotel received a bomb threat, today morning
The Taj Hotel in Lucknow received a bomb threat via email on Monday, one of 10 hotels in the city that had received similar threats. According to police sources, the email sent to the Taj Hotel located in the Hazratganj area warned of a possible bomb explosion on the premises.
On Sunday, 10 hotels in Lucknow had received similar bomb threats, following which the bomb squad conducted a thorough search.
The authorities have once again deployed bomb squads for security and the hotel is being thoroughly searched. Meanwhile, the investigation into this threat is ongoing.
Similar threat to other hotels too
In the meanwhile, ten other big hotels that received bomb threats on Sunday include Marriott, Saraca, Piccadily, Comfort Vista, Fortune, Lemon Tree, Clark Awadh, Casa, Dayal Gateway and Silvette. These hotels were thoroughly searched by the bomb squad, but all the threats were found to be baseless.

Demanded money via email
The email said that if the ransom of $55,000 (about Rs 4,624,288) was not paid, there would be an explosion. I want $55,000, or else I will explode, and blood will spill everywhere. Any attempt to defuse the bombs will cause them to explode."
The authorities have once again deployed a bomb squad to ensure security at the Taj Hotel and to thoroughly check the hotel. Investigation into the source of the email is still on.
