Major attack in Chhattisgarh, Naxalites blew up vehicle of security forces, 9 soldiers martyred
A tragic Naxalite attack has taken place in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. Naxalites targeted an armored vehicle of security forces and blasted it with IED on Monday. IG of Bastar Range has confirmed this attack. According to initial information, 9 soldiers have been martyred in this attack. While many soldiers are said to be injured.
The attack was so powerful that the vehicle of security forces was blown into pieces. Some pieces got stuck on the branches of trees. While IG Bastar P Sundarraj said, "From some days, major operation was going on in Bijapur, Dantewada. After finishing the operation, these security forces were returning to the base camp today.
During this, an IED blast took place near Ambeli village. An armored vehicle of the security forces came under its grip." According to IG Bastar, 8 soldiers of Dantewada DRG (District Reserve Guard) have been martyred in the Naxalite attack in Bijapur. The driver also died in the attack.
IED blast took place on Kutur road
ADG (Naxal Operation) Vivekanand Sinha said that the Naxalites attacked at around 2:15 pm. IED blast took place on Kutur road of Bijapur. The vehicle of the security forces which was targeted by the Naxalites had more than 9 soldiers in it. Security forces also retaliated
ADG Naxal Operation Vivekanand Sinha said, "This is a cowardly act of Naxalites. These attacks will be answered."
Chief Minister expressed grief
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has expressed grief over the Janjgir-Bijapur Naxal attack. He said, "Naxalites are suffering huge losses and Naxalism will be completely eradicated by 2026."The soldiers are wiping out the Naxalites with full alertness."
3 Naxalites killed in Sornamal forest
Just 3 days ago, security forces had taken action against Naxalites in the Naxal-affected Sornamal forest of Gariaband district. Indian soldiers had killed 3 Naxalites. The DRG (District Reserve Guard) and STF (Special Task Force) had surrounded the Naxalites. About 300 soldiers from Chhattisgarh and Odisha also participated in this operation.

On 1 November 2000 Chhattisgarh became the 26th state of India by separating from Madhya Pradesh. The entire Bastar division is included in the Naxal-affected districts of this state. Bijapur, Sukma, Dantewada, Bastar, Narayanpur, Kondagaon, Kanker, Rajnandgaon, Balod, Gariaband, Dhamtari, Mahasamund, Kawardha, Abujhmad and Balrampur are considered hard core Naxal-affected areas. More than 60 thousand soldiers are deployed for the security of these districts.

Naxalite's body found in Abujhmad area
Meanwhile, after an encounter with Naxalites in Abujhmad area on Saturday, security forces have recovered the body of another Naxalite on Monday. With this, the number of Naxalites killed in this encounter has increased to 5. A security force jawan was martyred in this. However, search operation is still going on in the area.
