70th National Awards: Prestigious and most respected 70th National Awards took place today at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi. In this ceremony, the best films of the film world, their cast and crew were honored for their hard work. The announcement of the award was made in August itself. This time these awards have been given for those films which were given censor certificate by the Film Censor Board between 1 January 2022 and 31 December 2022.

National Award is biggest achievement for film personality

The President of the country Draupadi Murmu herself handed over this honor to all the stars with her own hands. All though, this is considered to be the biggest achievement for any film personality. Meanwhile actors and stars including Neena Gupta, Rishabh Shetty, Sooraj Barjatya and Nitya Menon reached Delhi for the award function,

In the ceremony, actor Mithun Chakraborty was also honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. He was honored by President Draupadi Murmu. It was announced recently. PM Modi himself praised the actor's contribution to cinema. His journey has been very inspirational. After receiving the award, Mithun also told about his journey. He said, ''When I got the National Award, I started thinking of myself as Al Pacino, then I got kicked and I came to my senses

Mithun Chakraborty honored with Dadasaheb Phalke Award

Mithun has been active in cinema for 74 years, he received the National Award for Best Actor for his first film Mrigya in the year 1977. Mithun has done more than 350 films so far. While Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had announced on the social media platform X and wrote - From the streets of Kolkata to touching the heights in the world of cinema. Mithun Da's journey has inspired every generation.

Meanwhile actor Rishabh Shetty has been honored with  the Best Actor award for film 'Kantara'. Nitya Menon and Manshi Parekh won the Best Actress award.

Neena Gupta got the honor for third time

Meanwhile actor Neena Gupta has received the National Award for Best Supporting Actress for the film 'Unchai'. The actress had earlier received the Best First Non Feature Film Director award for the 1993 film 'Bazaar Sitaram'. Then in 1994, she received the Best Supporting Actress award for the film 'Woh Chhokri'.

Manoj honored for the fourth time

Manoj Bajpayee was given the Special Mention Award for 'Gulmohar'. This is the fourth time Manoj received the National Award. On this, he said, 'See, even when I got it 3 times, the reaction was the same. I am feeling the same for the fourth time too. I always say that when I was doing theater in my life, I used to say that once I get this, life will be blessed. Today, by the grace of God, I have received this award for the fourth time for 'Gulmohar'. I consider myself a very lucky artist who has received the National Award for the fourth time.
