Mumbai: Stampede broke out at Bandra Terminus station at last night, in which many passengers were injured. While the condition of two injured people is critical.  Though this incident had taken place happened around 2 o'clock in the night.

When the train going from Mumbai to Gorakhpur reached the platform, there was a stampede in the hurry to board the train, many passengers were injured in this stampede. All these passengers have been admitted to Bhabha Hospital in Bandra West for treatment.

However, the accident happened on platform number one of Bandra Terminus. The departure time of train number 22921, Bandra Gorakhpur Express train was 5.10 am, but the train arrived at the platform at 2.55 pm. In such a situation, the passengers started trying to board the train quickly and due to this a stampede broke out.

The injured have been identified as Shabir Abdul Rehman (40), Parmeshwar Sukhdar Gupta (28), Ravindra Harihar Chuma (30), Ramsevak Ravindra Prasad Prajapati (29), Sanjay Tilakram Kange (27), Divyanshu Yogendra Yadav (18), Mohammad Sharif Sheikh (25), Indrajit Sahani (19) and Noor Mohammad Sheikh (18).

Let us tell you that overcrowding is common during festivals in Indian Railways. In such a situation, there is often a possibility of an accident. On the occasion of Diwali, people working in Mumbai come to their homes in large numbers. Most of these people are from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Due to this, there was a stampede to board the train going to Gorakhpur, in which many people were injured.

This accident happened on platform number one of Bandra Terminus, where train number 22921, Bandra Gorakhpur Express was scheduled to depart at 5:10 am. But the train arrived on the platform at 2:55 pm, which increased the hurry among the passengers to board the train early.
