Mainly two alliances face to face in the fray
After the 2019 assembly elections in Maharashtra, Congress, Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena, Sharad Pawar's NCP together formed the Maha Vikas Aghadi. This time in the Maharashtra elections, the contest will be seen between two alliances instead of parties. The ruling Mahayuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi will be face to face. Actually, the Mahayuti includes BJP, Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar-led NCP. In this assembly election, the opposition alliance (MVA) would like to repeat its performance of the Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra, in which it had gained an edge over the Mahayuti.
Promise to complete Vision Maharashtra 2029 within 100 days
In fact, the leaders of the parties involved in the Mahavikas Aghadi - Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), NCP (Sharad Pawar) etc. organized Maharashtra Swabhiman Sabha. Big leaders of all the parties involved in the alliance participated in it. Rahul Gandhi openly targeted the BJP and the Shinde government from the stage. MVA leaders released their manifesto for the elections during this time.
