J&K Election Result: Big defeat of separatist candidates has been seen in Jammu and Kashmir this time. The National Conference and Congress alliance is going to form the government in Valley. Meanwhile, there is news that independent Hindu MLA Pyare Lal of Jammu and Kashmir will join Omar Abdullah's party

Jammu and Kashmir assembly result

Results of the assembly elections held in Jammu and Kashmir have come out. This time the National Conference and Congress alliance did wonders and is moving forward to form the government here. Independent candidate Pyare Lal Sharma from Inderwal assembly seat has won by 643 votes. The special thing is that independent candidate Ghulam Mohammad Saruri was also at second place.

NC and Congress is going to form the government

Talking about Kashmir valley, a big defeat of separatist candidates has been seen in the results of the assembly elections here. These include candidates from Engineer Rashid-led Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) and Jamaat-e-Islami. Jamaat-e-Islami's 'proxy' candidate Sayyar Ahmed Reshi from Kulgam and Sheikh Abdul Rashid alias Engineer Rashid's brother Khurshid Ahmed Sheikh, who contested from Langate, performed well.

Congress poor performance in Jammu won one seat

While Congress performance alone in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections was its worst ever, as only one of its 29 candidates in the Jammu region won, while its prominent leaders, including two working presidents, lost the election. Fighting the election with the NC, the Congress fielded 32 candidates, most of who are in the Jammu region. In the Jammu region, the Congress managed to win only the Rajouri seat, while in 2014 it had won a total of five seats.

 BJP best performance, dominance in Jammu region

In the first assembly elections held in Jammu and Kashmir after the removal of Article 370, BJP has emerged as the second largest party by winning 29 seats. In this way, it has improved its all-time highest figure of 25 seats in the 2014 elections. However, the party has failed to win any seat in Kashmir. Most of its nearly two dozen candidates have lost their deposits.
